Pics from the Gem Show

The Frankston and Peninsula Lapidary Club's Annual Gem Show was a great success!

I was honored to be a part of such a great group of people.

I was the photographer for the event, and had a fantastic time!

We had beautiful mineral specimens, stunning stones and handy tools and equipment on display from very knowledgeable suppliers.

I'm looking forward to next year's show!

  2. Did you spend your life savings here? I saw about 713 things I wouldn't mind having.

You can add "photographer" to your resume. ... they're lucky to have you. A great variety of clear, vivid photos giving a good sense of what the show was like.

As always... thank you for taking the time and sharing your time, Mariann! I'm squeaking here!

  3. I almost DID spend my life savings!
But having ALL the household bills due that week kept most of it in my pocket. Gah!
I think without me they would have forgotten to take photos at all! I loved doing the photography, it was a challenge taking all those photos under different lighting and through the glass on the showcases. Helped me get to know my new camera a lot better!
The good thing is that the gem clubs around Melbourne are having their shows now, all the good weather brings them out of hiding! And most suppliers go around to all these other shows, too!
    Hooray!
